Camels are great.
So i did spend some time riding the camel and i noticed something.
- depending on the biom/terrain i could have used a further or slightly higher dash or a better dash recovery
- as soon as i find one camel i don't need more of them (no use in breeding or search more)
My suggestion would be to take a similar approach as to the horse stats, but with stats useful to the camel.
- 3 stats (Dash Distance / Dash Recovery / Step Height+Dash Height)
Dash Distance and Recovery are self-explanatory, but to explain why Step and Dash height are bundled:
- Step height of the camel is currently 1,5 blocks, same for the dash height, that's why i pack them together
- Dash height on its own would be worse than the other 2 stats.
Stat distribution:
- [Middle / Middle / Middle] This would be a balanced camel
- [Max / Middle / Min] Those are specialiced camels (6 possible stat combination)
- Stat distribution would be random/not dependent on the parents
An Example:
[Dash Distance / Dash Recovery / Dash+Step Height]
Let's take the current Camel Stats as the
"Balanced"
[10 Blocks / 3 Sec / 1,5 Blocks]
"Max Dash Distance"
[12,5 Blocks / 3 Sec / 1 Block] or [12,5 Blocks / 4 Sec / 1,5 Blocks]
"Max Dash Recovery"
[10 Blocks / 2 Sec / 1 Block] or [ 7,5 Blocks / 2 Sec / 1,5 Blocks]
"Max Dash+Step Height"
[10 Blocks / 4 Sec / 2 Block] or [ 7,5 Blocks / 3 Sec / 2 Blocks]
Conclusion:
- "different" camels
- purpose to breeding/finding more camels
- choice for different needs/playstyles/situations
