Mob Idea: Shredder

The shredder would be a mob that lives in the end. Shredders will harvest chorus fruit, and as long as you are friendly towards them they will trade you shredded fruit that teleports you like chorus fruit, but in a more controlled way, like teleporting you 8 or so blocks in the direction your facing. You could eat shredded fruits quickly, taking around the time it takes to eat dried kelp. Shredders would run away from you when you hit them, but if you back them into a corner where they can't run away they will fight back by swiping at you with claws. These claws don't do much damage but will teleport you back several blocks. Shredders will not chase you even after attacking you, and they will wander around in groups. If you hit one of them, the others will move in front of you to protect the injured one. Shredders would resemble a spider, but with a sort of shell on their limbs and just one glowing eye. On their back they have several markings, the markings indicate how much chorus fruit they have harvested. I honestly have not thought much about the visual design of them, and I would really appreciate suggestions for this idea.

    I don't think this would fit in as the End stands now. If they did an End update, and updated the environments, I could see these working.

    I'm not sure about these attacking mechanics, it seems too complicated. Why would a player attack them anyway? Do they drop anything good? In that case, they should be neutral and fight back, rather than attempting to flee.

    I also think that that the name "shredder" is a bit to aggressive sounding. When I clicked on this post, I was expecting some totally feral, deadly mob. Overall good idea though.
