The new item 'Locomotive' is an improved version of a minecart with furnace.
The crafting could be: 3 iron blocks in one row + 3 iron blocks in the next row
One locomotive has the same dimensions (LxWxH) as a minecart with furnace but with a more locomotive look.
With the Railway Coupling up to 8 minecarts can be coupled to a locomotive which then becomes a 'basic train'. The first minecart behind a locomotive must be a normal minecart because this will be the driver's cart.
When clicking the locomotive with the 'Use Item' button, the 'combustion menu' opens. The 'combustion menu' can look similar to this one of a furnace. There is one field to load up to 64 coal or charcoal. There should be an icon that shows whether the combustion chamber is fired up. When the locomotive is fired up, it does not move automatically.
For driving the train, the player must sit in the driver's cart, such as with a minecart with furnace. The player can use the 'Forwards' (W) and 'Backwards' (S) keys to move the train.
The maximum speed of the 'basic train' is 16 blocks per second (flying speed).
The locomotive has a consumption of 8 coals or charcoals per 1024 blocks run. With a 64 stack the train can run up to 8192 blocks. When the train is not moving, no fuel gets consumed.
Only when the train is not moving the player can dismount the driver's cart the same way as dismounting a minecart and the locomotive and its minecarts can be broken (mined).
