Rats in Minecraft

Rats could be between the size of a grown Minecraft rabbit and a baby rabbit. They could be different colours and can spawn in villages or just in the wild (mostly in the plains biome). They would have around the same amount of health as a rabbit. They could be tamed and can be bred using seeds or berries. The rats would have an adult and baby version. They can be extremely fast and can run away from the player. Cats and ocelots will hunt them. When killed they can drop a dead rat which can be used to feed, tame and breed ocelots and cats. They'll be attracted to crops but won't destroy them.

    Rats don't sound very appealing although the idea is great. Maybe we could call them mice?
