Minecraft mobs are all unique in different ways, but they either feel too perfect, too flawed or both to actually feel real. I know Minecraft shouldn’t be realistic, but it would make the game feel like it is actually there. I think adding detail to mob AI could improve the game. All mobs should have a small chance to fall unless they are an agile creature (foxes, ocelots etc.). For animals, you could use the ways they detect things in real life to put in the game. For dangerous mobs, hiding behind blocks should make you invisible unless they have a good sense of smell. Mob AI should not only get easier, but add a little bit more of a challenge. Attack strategies that aren’t just chase and kill would make each monster more of a threat unless you are prepared. It would also give the player a strategy for escaping. This is an exception for undead mobs.
