In terms of balance, it would overthrow using the few mounts that do provide storage, and camels already have unique benefits, so they shouldn't have this extra feature.
There is a problem with trying to add anything sensible to the camel in terms of mount functionality, since all those bases are already covered by the existing mounts. Horses are great for travelling safely and fast, donkeys are decent on land, mobile storage and llamas make for stylish and functional caravans.
Adding storage just wouldn't make the camel more of a donkey or llama variant, bringing nothing new to the table.
Would be awesome for use in a 'camel train' with each camel connected to the next with leads. A very Minecrafty (and real world realistic) way to move lots of items around the world
I think Camels should have chests but they should have less storage and they take one seat so only one player can ride them if they have a chest equipped.
Para mi no creo que sea bueno el tener cofres en los camellos cada animal tiene una función única así como las ovejas pata tener lana decorativa y para dormir,o la vaca para un bloque comestible y decorativo y una medicina además las mulas de las savanas quedarían olvidadas
Not only are camels big enough, camels are pack animals IRL. I'm honestly stunned Mojang didn't allow us to equip them with a chest when they were added. Being out of reach of most hostile mobs and the camel dash are nice and all, but I'd rather have a caravan of camels to help me haul materials for early game building.
Maybe we could put two chests on them and get double the max inventory slots of donkeys, mules, and llamas. It would Take up both passenger slots, but would make the camel exceptionally useful.
