Sniffers Sprout Flowers from Friendship

When a player has cared for a sniffer an adequate amount the sniffer shows appreciation by sprouting decorative flowers from the bush on its back. The flowers are sheerable similar to a sheep but they only grow when the sniffer feels it is happy with its relationship with the player.

    you should also be able to shear these flowers off of them and put them in pots as decoration

    Perhaps you could feed it different items to get different flowers similar to how suspicious stew works with cows.

    I like the idea of a mob/item that symbolizes appreciation, affection, and rewards you for treating it well. Stark contrast to what we've had up until with livestock or most animals / farms which encourage you to shove them into tight and confined spaces for maximum efficiency.

    Makes the Sniffer like an ancient sheep but with flora instead of fleece.

    I don't think that's a good idea since his back is not grass nor moss. It came from an egg, how could he grow plants on his shell on the back?

    Its a dinosaur, sprouting flowers via friendship make it sound like a pet. I like the idea of it as a amphibious floating, mount that can carry more stuff and mobs. But domesticating a dinosaur as a pet doesn't sound good. As a mount it shouldn't need a saddle just its back fur & a stick & seed. if you need something removed other than yourself, just sheer its back fur. You'll have to wait for the fur to grow back in that pot to place something in that slot again.

    It’s a fictional creature not a dinosaur, you could do anything with it. Maybe that could play into the sniffers lore, the people from the ancient times could have built relationships with the sniffers so they really enjoy bonding and appreciation, but then disaster struck and they went extinct (maybe a flood, that could be why sniffer eggs are in the ocean) and we have no more sniffers until now.

    I think it'd be cool if the Sniffer could have a chance to dig up Cyan Roses from the Raspberry PI/Pocket Edition. It'd be a way to bring back that "ancient" nostalgic plant and perhaps the old singular rose too?
