We've seen new golem concepts in recent mob votes; however, a traditional golem serves to fight/defend against Mobs, as seen with both Iron and Snow Golems. Taking this into consideration, I present the Boulder Golem.
- Taking some inspiration from the Tuff Golem, Boulder Golems will stay dormant most of the time. They wake up, when hostile mobs are present. Likewise, they return to their spot afterwards.
- Boulder Golems will also only take up 1 block of space, making them space efficient (compared to alternatives).
- Appearance wise, they resemble smaller andesite blocks with a head, arms and legs. They tug their arms and legs in, when they go dormant.
- Their walking speed is slow due to their small, stubby legs. They can, however, roll around to traverse terrain faster.
- When in combat, they will wind up a roll attack towards the enemy. It is effective against large crowds.
- They are weaker than Iron Golems, having only 20 Health (10 Hearts) and dealing 4 damage (2 Hearts).
- Like other golems, Boulder Golems are build. They are made using 2 blocks of andesite and a carved pumpkin. They do not spawn naturally
Boulder Golems would be cheap and space-efficient defenses, that rely on rolling to maneuver and attack. Although weak by themselves, their strong suit would lie in crowd control and their ability to quickly reach and attack invading mobs. They could also stall for time until help arrives, e.g. Iron Golems. Essentially, they are the vanguard.
