For the 1.20, the current update theme is none other than expression, representation, and Storytelling, and in a simple sense, it's about personalization. In a world where survival is key, it wouldn't help to flex the power of progress towards the rest of your friends.
Enter the Goblet, a new Item made with 5 gold or iron ingots and 2 amethyst shards, which acts as a middle-game alternative to the glass bottle and representative of the dark ages, which is used to store water, potions, and even honey. Unlike with bottles, you won't be hogging down honey like you would eat, so you'd be sipping it just like with potions or water bottles. (Classy)
In addition to looking and sounding regal, you can use a brewing stand to put a potion and a heart of the sea to split the magical drink between everyone, with the ability to prolong timed potion effects by around 20 seconds, but do be cautious; nobody likes a stained Goblet. Once the liquid has been consumed, it must be cleaned out through crafting with a full water bottle. (note that these aren't stackable either)
This item is perfect for medieval villages and castles, and represents the high class of its era. The Goblet could even be taken to a mead hall, the perfect place for storytelling. As someone who's grown fond of the fancy, this would be a dream come true.
Cheers to the Goblet!
