Chomper (Minecraft 1.20)

The Chomper is an ancient neutral mob that resembles an Ankylosaurus. It primarily eats any vegetation it can find, and gets protective of any object it encounters. It is a mixture of adorable and intimidating.

The player can find a Chomper egg in mineshaft chests. Once the eggs hatch the Chomper will be the size of a pig, but after a while, it will grow to the size of a ravager. If the Chomper finds an item on the ground it will pick the item up, and it won't give the item back unless given another thing specifically vegetation. When the Chomper attacks it will use its tail to wack enemies. It deals three hearts of damage in easy mode, five hearts of damage in normal mode, and eight hearts of damage in hard mode. It will follow you if you have any kind of vegetation in your hand, and if you give it what it wants it could help you find buried treasure. It enjoys eating plants and will get rid of azaleas, flowers, grass, ferns, vines, and sweet berry bushes. It can be tamed by feeding it enough vegetation, and once tamed it will allow you to ride it.

    This would be good if it was more functional like the great hunger which would disenchant items. Maybe the items it picks up could be changed or transformed. Maybe silk touched ores can be broken into double the amount of items that it would've dropped, or it could defend you from other mobs maybe if you give it vegetation to tame it, or maybe you can even ride it.
