Environmentally dependent Sniffer Variants(like with frogs)

Just like with frogs, when a Sniffer Egg is hatched in a specific environment, it will instead hatch as a different variant of the sniffer. In temperate biomes, the sniffer will hatch as the one we all know and love. However, the sniffer will look brown and furrier in cold biomes, like a woolly mammoth. They will also have blue, icy tusks. Finally, with warm biomes, the sniffer would look white/yellowish(like with warm frogs)and less furry. You now may be wondering, what would be the point of all of this? The main use of the sniffer is to dig up decorative ancient plants, so a specific variant of the sniffer will dig up different ancient plants, thus giving a reason why players should do this.
