Hi all! Today I want to touch on the topic of feeding working animals.
So, feeding animals is now almost irrelevant. Can you remember the last time you fed your horse other than when he fell and got hurt?
I suggest adding a satiety bar to all entities that do any work.
• Horses, Donkeys, Llamas, and soon Camels - When you ride them and make them run or jump, they have to consume food so you have to take small breaks and feed them. If you hang chests on your animals, then they spend additional satiety while moving. When satiety is over, (ONLY WHEN MOVING ON A ANIMAL), hearts begin to be spent, instead of satiety. Then your pet takes damage. Then you will notice that he is ill, and feed him. When he is fully fed, he heals. Then you continue on your way to the next halt. Also, Donkeys and Mules must be resistant to carrying chests.
• Wolves - When they help you hunt or attack, their satiety decreases. When satiety is over, he will begin to hooligan. Things that will fall out from the next killed mob he will eat. If it is meat, bones, or rotten flesh, it will replenish satiety a little. If it is some other item, it will destroy it. He will misbehave until he restores the satiety bar.
• The rest of the peaceful mobs - The principle is about the same, but each has its own chips. And what - we have yet to find out.
