Rabies

The only animals in Minecraft that would be able to catch rabies are wolves, foxes, horses, and bats. Each of them would have a 1% chance to spawn with rabies and they would spread it to other animals. If horses, bats, or foxes got rabies then they would be able to attack you. Foxes and horses would do 1.5 hearts and bats would do 0.5 hearts. If a wolf got rabies it would do an extra heart of damage. Any animal with rabies that attacks you will give you nausea and slowness for 5 seconds. If you had a wolf tamed and it caught rabies then it would still try and attack you. Any animal that has rabies will get red spots on them. Rabies would make animals more challenging and dangerous in Minecraft.

    But rabies is transmitted to a much larger number of species, to humans, for example.
