i understand that adding ants to Minecraft is not a new idea but what im suggesting is a little more farfetched than that. i believe endermen one of the most iconic mobs in Minecraft should be replaced by massive passive ants. ik this sounds a bit odd but real-life ants and endermen have allot in common. they both collect materials and serve larger versions of themselves; they both are dark in color and attack just about anything that gives them a dirty look and most interesting of all is that they both have a unique habit of popping out of the ground, unhinging their mandibles and killing everything that breaths. i believe that this idea will be widely disencouraged throughout the minecraft community but i think endermen would be so much cooler if they were ants and if zombie pig men can undergo the amount of change they have already underwent then why can't endermen. the enderants should have their own miniature end portals located on the surface of the overworld that teleport them to enderant nests located in there own realm of the end and player should be able to jump through these holes to enter a kind of dungeon with semi rare items to be found inside
