a new way to do voting on the site

I think in addition to the current system there should be a system where users are displayed two random submissions and pick which one they like more. with this data would be used for a new sorting method on the site in addition to most votes newest and recent that would display the most favored suggestions to the least favored. it would allow for a lot more good ideas to be exposed to users who like the idea via both the new system and the new sorting method.
