Enderwings are flying, tamable/rideable mobs that spawn in the Outer End Islands. They resemble Phantoms, but instead of being aggressive, they are passive. You can tame an Enderwing by feeding it some chorus fruits, popped or not popped. Giving it a saddle will allow you to control it, like other rideable mobs. They are super speedy mobs, allowing you to zip through the Ender Skies... or should I say void? Their skin/scales are night black, and they have a purplish magenta stripe going from the tip of their tail to their forehead. Their eyes glow in the dark and is the same color as their stripe, purplish magenta. Opon death, they drop an enderwing membrane, and like phantom membranes, it can be used to repair elytras. This mob will make the End feel more alive and less barren. I hope this will get added to Minecraft officially. Feel free to comment, bye!
Edit: Enderwings are SLOWER than an elytra, BUT due to this, they are MORE CONTROLLABLE than their non-living counterpart. Enderwings are best used for travel and airborne fighting, while elytras ate better for fast travel and escapes. This was done to balance out the Enderwing, preventing it from being overpowered. You can also equip elytras to Enderwings by placing it in another slot in the saddle interface. When an elytra is equipped, it will enhance the Enderwing's speed, but a major downside to this is that the elytra's durability will drop quicker everytime you ride the Enderwing it is equipped with.
