Pet leveling up

Have dogs and other pets have the ability to level up. With dogs, they could level up via a new item that you get from skeletons, it could be a 'fleshy bone' and there could be 10 levels and maybe you can get things on each level. Level 10 could get the ability for the dog to retrieve random items from the sea level 5 could have a different perk. The other levels could be higher damage, speed or health. Obviously the bone would be harder to obtain than your usual bones but it would add another aspect of the game. You could even have higher levels and have randomized parks such as swimming faster or extra drops from mobs killed with the dog. I think it would make the game a bit more fun and would allow our friendly pooch to be a better companion
