Iron Golem Update

Currently, Iron Golems are hardly used outside of iron farms, and to lure enemies. I believe they should be more efficient guards. First of all, they should stay near the area they were built, so they don't wander off. Second of all, they should be able to regenerate automatically in some way. And thirdly, monsters should prioritise them over players. They should also target creepers, just don't let the creepers fight back. Maybe if the iron golem is near a cat, they'll target creepers, and the creeper wont fight back? Anyway, I believe these changes would result in the ability to have an unlit base that's safe! I think it'd be awesome to see these guards, roaming around their posts and just destroying any mob that comes, letting you dwell in the darkness. Or they could be used as an alternative to lighting up the area around your base so that you can sleep, because sometimes you just want a cozy cottage in the forest without random patches of brightness everywhere near it.

    I think that instead of attacking or scaring off creepers, Iron Golems should pick them up and deport them to an area >=50 blocks from the golem's creation point. That way, the creeper would be out of range of the player's base but doing this would also give an opportunity for other mobs to sneak in while the golem is away.

    Maybe you should be able to tame them using iron.
