In 1.8, rabbits were introduced and they were known for being easily 1/3rd the players size, and in 1.9 they were re-adjusted to be about 1/5th the player's size. I would like to see in possibly 1.19.3 or 1.20 if the (1.8) rabbits made a comeback as "Big Rabbits" and I have 2 methods of how they could be generated within Minecraft.
1. Naturally they would have about 2% chance to spawn upon being bred with normal carrots or through normal world spawning.
2. Breeding 2 rabbits (in normal size) with each a golden carrot could result in a 10% chance. Mojang will have the final words on any and all percentages though mentioned in this post!
When it comes to drops though, I believe right now they should stay the same as normal rabbits with only rabbit hide getting a slight buff, but do note Big Rabbits could have about 4 hearts (8HP) due to them being more 'built-big'! So they will be tricky to hunt!
Let me know in the comments below on your though and if a Mojang Rep sees this, let me know what clarification I can put or how to better work the idea! I always did find how the 1.8 rabbits seemed comically large to the player!!
