When a large (2x2) spruce tree grows, it converts the nearby dirt into podzol. In Java edition, however, it can also convert moss blocks into podzol. Since moss can be farmed from easily-renewable stone, this makes it very easy to farm dirt. On Bedrock edition, moss blocks are not converted to dirt; in fact, even the blocks directly beneath the tree (i.e. the blocks upon which the tree grows) stay moss blocks.
If moss were converted to podzol by growing large spruce trees, it would give Bedrock players a nice new little farm option, especially now that dirt can be used to make mud, which in turn can make clay... It would just be a nice change all-around. :)
