    That might be OP. You could just run through these roads and pillage all the villages you see, allowing you to get hundreds of hay bales and blacksmith loot in only a couple of minutes.

    Exploration and discovering villages would be too easy with roads showing players exactly where to find them. It seems more rewarding and fun to unexpectedly come across one, esp. considering how useful they can be.

    Too long. Nerf the distance, to 200 blocks or something. But otherwise, I think this will work fine in the main game.
