    1) Bees aren't beetles, so they don't actually have elytra (which are real-world wing covers that only beetles have). So it wouldn't make sense for bees to drop them.

    2) They're meant to be exclusive End dimension wings, encouraging players to go there and try finding them.

    3) It's highly doubtful that Mojang would want to encourage killing bees, since the mob's entire purpose of being added to the game is to raise awareness of the decline of honey bees in the real world.

    That is way overpowered. The elytra is a very powerful item and rightfully locked behind exploring the end islands
