DLC Among Multiple Devices

I feel as when you buy DLC it should be transferred to all devices with the same account, say you were to buy the Nether DLC on Nintendo switch but you somehow lose you device or just don't want to play on it anymore, well simply boot up an Xbox and the DLC would still be there because you bought it on Nintendo. I feel this is essential to the game. This could be checked by making it so this only works if you linked a Microsoft account if it finds the DLC then it will be playable on multiple devices.
