what I would do is that piglins have certain trust levels. When you start a world it starts at 0. If you barter with a piglin the bar goes up 1. If you kill a hoglin, wither skeleton, or something that harms piglins when a piglin is nearby/being attacked by zed mob, the bar goes up by 5 or maybe 10. There would be other actions that cause your piglin trust bar to go up.
Of course, there are actions that decrease the piglin trust level. stealing gold blocks, killing piglins, killing baby piglins, breeding hoglins, placing soul fire items near them will all decrease their trust for you.
When you have reached a large trust milestone (maybe 100 or something) you get a challenge advancement called "heart of gold", the description saying "befriend the piglins" or something. If you do that then piglins may give you free stuff (like villagers after a raid). Perhaps you dont have to wear gold armor near them? Perhaps brutes then dont attack you too!
To balance this feature out I think you would have to continuasly keep the bar up, as i think it depleats over time. I think this would be a good idea, anyone else?
