A better fix to the chat report feature

(Please approve and consider this post!) Many people are complaining about the chat report feature, primarily because you have no chances and the server owner have no control. So, I suggest these 2 changes: 1. Allow the server owner to be able to turn off/on chat reporting. Or, the server owner can decide who can use the chat report feature in a server. Like maybe only the admins can report you while the rest can only flag chat messages for the server owner to consider. Server owners have control and the staff reading the report have less of them to review. A win-win situation! 2. Be more sparing and forgiving with the punishments. Every time your messages get reported successfully, a counter goes up by 1 to a max of 3. When reaching 1: you get a warning. " " 2: get banned from server for 3 days. " " 3 or got reported sucessfully at 3: banned from multiplayer for a few days. Furthermore, people in a server can see if you are banned for counter reaching 2 or 3. Fortunately, if there is no counter change within 14 days, it will go down by 1. If a person did not increase their counter in 60 days, he/she will be cleared of all previous offenses (inspired by Singapore traffic demerit points

  I don't think people actually want the report feature at all though, and servers can still send false reports which is part of the concern people have.

  I Think Only Your Chat Priviliges Should Be Removed Instead Of Cut Access To Multiplayer

  I agree with this idea, if Mojang REALLY wants the chat feature. But otherwise I’d say just remove it all together. This system is just so abuse-able, and no fixes would really change that, cause people would just always find their way around it.

   

  I really don’t know why Mojang is making more work for themselves with a system like this when it’s really not needed.

  Mojang should add a system were it flags your post before you send it showing you what may be harmful or offensive so that the player can edit before posting.
