At the moment, cleric villagers don't do much to differentiate themselves from the other villagers aside from what they sell and like other villagers are very susceptible to zombies. I'd love it if they could throw the occasional healing potion or other potion that causes knockback when cornered by zombies then use the moment to slip past and find another building to hide in or in the case of finding a zombie villager, attempt to trap it (via Warding Dust which I'll mention later) and cure it.
If that's too violent, then they should be able to add another defense to their village by surrounding their village with a perimeter of Warding Dust, a powder somewhat like redstone that instead of making circuits will scare all varieties of zombies enough to stop them from crossing it like Piglins and soul fire. The powder would be soluble in rain or other sources of water and can be trampled by Illagers so said cleric would have to replace it every couple days. The powder would also be added to potential trades. Another thing they could do is offer medical attention to the player, filling their health back to full and removing all negative status effects in exchange for 1-3 emeralds depending on their reputation.
