This is an update concept relating to the night. The idea is to include spooky features and more reasons to go out at night.
Wraith- Added from Dungeons. They will spawn in the catacombs, strongholds and soul sand valley. They will fire a soul fireball at you, set you on soul fire upon contact and teleport.
Necromancer- Also added from Dungeons. Spawn very rarely at night/underground and in strongholds and behaves like in Dungeons: summoning undead mobs and firing magic at you. New attacks could include applying weakness and creating a shield around himself like the wither. His staff might be able to be rebuilt...
Crypts- New structure based off the crypts from dungeons. A maze of corridors made of stone bricks and lit up with torches and candles. Usual hostile mobs, silverfish and wraiths spawn here. Would contain mid level loot.
Red Moon- A rare event. During this moon, hostile mobs are applied strength.
Updated Stronghold- The stronghold gets a structure update to be more interesting. Think of the stronghold in Dungeons. Wraiths now spawn here along with a lone Necromancer who guards the end portal.
Skeleton Wolf- Brought in from Earth. Spawn in forests and taigas at night. Behave like hostile wolves.
Moon cycle effects- Moon cycle affects mob spawning in certain biomes like slimes in swamps. Like, skeletons spawn more frequently at one moon cycle, and endermen spawn more on another.
