Allay Breeding - Diamonds

Many people have talked about breeding the Allay, but few have talked about what to breed it with in order to make breeding less OP. I think that you should be able to breed allays using diamonds/diamond blocks. This would make sense because it would make Allay breeding less overpowered, which is what the developers may have intended when they didn't give the Allay a breeding item; it would give diamonds a use in late-game besides for just flexing; and because Allays are blue (they look like diamonds already). There are many things that could be done about the breeding method (because right click gives the allay an item, but it could easily just be shift-right click, or even shift-right click to give it any other item and regular right click to feed it), but I feel like the "food" should be something diamond related.
