I think we need a way for the devs to show the scale of an update. I've seen lots of people getting mad because the wild update "Isn't enough", and the root of that is them expecting so much more than what wan announced. This is the exact opposite problem with caves and cliffs, where they announced too much and couldn't deliver.
But I propose that we add a scale system, to really convey expectations for how much content will be in each update. Small sized updates would be something like Buzzy Bees. Medium would be like World of Color, Update Aquatic, or Caves and Cliffs Part 1. Large would be something like The Nether Update, Caves and Cliffs Part 2, or the Village and Pillage update.
I think this would greatly help control expectations for fans, so that people won't be off theorizing that we're getting a whole new dimension or a bunch of updated biomes when Mojang is trying to take a break with a smaller update. And Mojang really needs a break.
