The complete lack of respect a lot of the Minecraft community has for Mojang is really making my blood boil. It happened with the bee update, it happened with the caves update, it happened with the mob votes, and it's happening now again that fireflies and birch forests have been put in the backlog. The disrespect towards Mojang clearly comes from a place of entitlement about this game which, quite frankly, I'm not sure can be changed, but there should at least be an attempt to address this instead of just talking about how wonderful the community is at every event. It also comes from a lack of trust that there is a plan and Mojang needs to assure the community that they aren't just removing features to be lazy because right now that's how people are taking it. The community will never stop being toxic altogether and they will never understand what it's like to develop a game, but I think there are ways to mitigate the toxicity and not just be passive about this.
