When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).
As a solution to redstone being completly destroyed by water, I suggest that we could add a new item, redstone wire. this item could be crafted with redstone in the middle, glowstone on the sides, and an iron ingot on the top and a copper ingot on the bottom. This new item would carry a redstone signal for somewhere between 40 and 60 blocks, and be waterproof and waterloggable.
