(Bedrock) HAL to Render Dragon Translation
The community has been able to build shaders on top of HAL, and with Render Dragon now being on all platforms there are hundreds if not thousands of community-built resource packs which are now completely useless. I believe with the vast amount of packs which have made use of HAL to change the look of the game, that rather than completely abandon HAL, it would be much more beneficial to the community if there were some sort of translation layer for legacy shaders. An approach like this would be much more user-friendly as it wouldn't take a beloved feature away from players and would only improve it.
Render Dragon is considered a much more capable engine for most platforms, and I agree with that. It isn't perfect by any means, and while we await official shader support it would be greatly appreciated if the community could continue to use and make shaders, and as well for all console platforms to finally be able to experience shader packs.
