With the removal of the firefly mob from 1.19, it has a lot of builders and explorers really disappointed that we didn't get such an incredible particle effect simply because "Some [species of] fireflies are poisonous to frogs..."
I propose that instead of Fireflies being added to the game, Mojang should instead opt for their name to be replaced with "Lightning Bugs" which would not only remove the concern of frogs being poisoned but could also come with a small new feature that makes them renewable.
Simply put, bees are the insect of choice that currently exists within the new Mangrove Swamp biome, which is nice but certainly isn't a replacement for fireflies. Instead, it would not only make sense environmentally but add to the functionality of lightning (and lightning-summoning features) to have a bee who gets struck by lightning burst into a cloud of Lightning Bugs.
It would keep thematic with the name, remove the fear of poisoning the frogs, and still allow players to have such an amazing building feature for use inside of our builds while remaining sensical within the ecosystem of the Mangrove Swamp.
