Wolves should keep their distances from their owner

Wolves should keep their distances from their owner, because they sometimes disturb him when he is working.

Strictly speaking, it would be nice if they do not enter within a few blocks radius actively

    I would eyeroll but that would be rude.

    You can just right click the wolf to make them sit. And then they won't get in your space.
