There is a datatag that modifies the beacon effect called Primary and Secondary. When you try to change this effect to something like blindness, fire resistance, or something not supported by vanilla beacons, the datatag value reverts to 0. According to MC-91854, this is an intended feature, but I think it shouldn't be.
I would like to be able to freely modify the type of effects on the beacon, the level of effects on the beacon, the range of the beacon, and how much of the pyramid needs to be built in order for the beacon to be powered.
I feel this would be a very powerful tool for mapmakers, and a well welcomed one.
