    What does it do?

In response to the comment above this one, VSync syncs the framerate to the refresh rate of the monitor. This may sound nice in theory, but the effect it has on 90% of devices is to lower fps and drastically increase input latency. It should just be turned off by default, which it is not.

Since it's impossible that the feature (vsync) would be removed, one can only hope that a setting to toggle it off would be added to the settings screen. This would be a positive addition for everyone, especially for people playing on console or mobile, because it is unreasonable to expect them to be able to edit the settings file manually. Even for pc, it is a feature that is too easy to implement not to do so, so it makes no sense the toggle hasn't been added to the bedrock video settings screen yet.
