Sideways Beacons

Beacons can be made sideways so that the light can be horizontal instead of being vertical all the time. This could be used for redstone doors or decorative lights.

    One key feature of beacons is that they need to have access to open sky, a vital mechanic which a sideways beacon would not be able to fulfil.

    also you should do the same with bubble collums (Soul sand + magma elevators)
