I am not a frog specialist but i have done a lot of research before writing this and i can say for sure that the frog colors in minecraft should not be what they are now. Green frogs should NOT appear on cold biomes, not only because a green frog on snow looks terrible but also because on Earth there is only a single species of green frog that survives very cold temperatures called "Gray Tree Frog" which is usualy gray and white but has a green"ish" variation. Most frogs that survive freezing temperatures are orange or brown with some black variations like the "Alankan Wood Frog" or the "Spring Peeper".
My suggestion is: make the cold biome frogs be white like most Gray tree frogs or make them be light brown like most cold biome and meadow frogs are, it would fit the biome's aesthetic a lot more and also be more realistic.
My other suggestion is making the current beautiful green frog be exclusive to jungles and forests just like the "Green Tree Frog" that likes to climb up trees.
EVEN BETTER, make it so swamp and mangroove frogs are not exclusively orange, make it so mangroove frogs can be black and dark brown and swamp frogs can be orange and green, that would make the swamps and mangrooves feel a lot more alive and add some amazing variety, just like sheeps have many wool colors, frogs would have many colors, that would also add much more variety to froglights, im sure people would love that, even tho it might just be an utopia like dream.
