There should exist a way to tune an allay, such that they only respond and link to noteblocks which contain the same pitch.
For example, if you tune your noteblock to the pitch "A", and you tune your allay to the pitch "A", the allay will ignore any noteblocks which are playing other pitches like "B" or "C" and instead focus on the "A" noteblock. This would be very helpful for redstone and in situations where you have many allays but you want to have multiple sorted drop-off locations.
I'm not sure how you would go about "tuning" an allay, but there could be a visual indicator of some sort using the different coloring of the different pitches in a noteblock. For example, something on the Allay could give a visual indication of a certain color, which matches the note color which is coming from the noteblock. Dyeing allays seems to be a popular idea so maybe this could give that aesthetic some use?
How to make it color blind accessible? Not sure, maybe noteblocks' particles become colored versions of the various pitches? So instead of a noteblock's particle being a note, it could be "A" or "C#". The indication would also have to be pitch based.
Introducing a change where noteblocks display their pitch would also be very helpful for musicians who want to use noteblocks to make music, so that they do not need to download a resource pack which reveals the pitch of the noteblock.
