Minecraft has always had a problem with pets dying. You're so afraid of losing pets/villagers, that you trap them indoors
However, located in the deep dark, there is a solution if your mob dies
Within the deep dark, there is a recipe book for the revival altar. Right clicking this book consumes it, however you get a new recipe. If you already have the recipe you can't use the book
Creating a revival altar requires: 4 bone blocks, 4 amethyst crystals, and 1 soul sand. When you right click on the altar a GUI pops up. There is a slot for an echo shard and when you put it in a list appears
This list is of every single dead mob that you have either named or tamed. Right clicking a mob, on the list consumes the echo shard and that mob is revived. The soul sand on top is consumed as well and needs to be replaced to revive another mob
You cannot revive another player's mobs
I also suggest echo shards being renewable. When you destroy a boss mob near a skulk catalyst it creates 1 echo shard. This makes it renewable but not so much so that it's easy to get
There are also 2 new achievements added
A Second Chance: Bring a named or tamed mob back from the dead using the revival altar
Extra Loot?: Destroy an ender dragon or wither near a skulk catalyst
