When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

    I sometimes think like this. Despite being a fairly technical person, my limited redstone knowledge makes it so I can't do practically anything of interest with it unless I use an online tutorial. Even then, I don't know how the wizardry in the thing I made really works and it breaks in the next version anyway. I shouldn't have to know what "quasi connectivity" is.

    I don't know what a better system is given the requirements, though. Redstone is an attempt to use blocks to do things with blocks. In a blocky system, any "wires" must take up an entire block. That means sending a signal through the wall makes a huge hole in your wall. Any attempt to get around this will be similarly unintuitive or messy in the end.
