New use for echo shards: dark lantern

So snapshot 22w14a introduced the new echo shard, which is only used for the recovery compass. I and many others think it could use more, so here's my idea.

you could craft 1 shard and a lantern together to get a dark lantern. functionally, it would spawn-proof about as much as a soul lantern. however, it doesn't actually produce any light. I think this could allow for pitch-black areas without mobs spawning. It would pretty much be an echo of the deep dark!

although this would probably be more difficult, a reverse could maybe also be added, producing light while still allowing mobs to spawn. maybe with an amethyst shard?
