End Bridges (way to get between islands)

These would be a structure including a short wide staircase made out of purpur blocks with a nether portal shaped frame at the top. This frame would have a portal that connects to a different bridge on a different island in a straight line from the first, sometimes hundreds of blocks away. They could also maybe have a loot chest. Walking through them would smooth, like walking through a door, rather than like a nether portal.

    I think this is a must have for transportation in end citys whoever (or whatever) made the end citys must have gotten around somehow getting ender pearls is too dangerous, glideing over a ENDLESS VOID with only fragile wings is just dumb. They would need some way to get across so i support this idea!

    Haven't you flown over the endless void looking for new cities with elytra? I think building bridges is just something to prepare for when you're planning to go to the end and I like that idea.

    (And maybe a chest but no loot)
