Minecraft Java - Legacy commands

As a Minecraft vertan, I've noticed that in a lot of recent versions of Minecraft Java Edition. It had some changes with Minecraft commands. For example the game mode commands currently use the name of the game mode, instead of it's old integer value like in older versions (0 = Survival, 1 = Creative, 2 = Adventure, 3 = Spectator). Which oddly enough the integer option is in Bedrock Edition. So I honestly think that they should bring back things like that for Java Edition. For people like me who are use to the older Minecraft commands.
