A lectern should store a memory of books it has seen and the page it was open to. This could enable a 15 variable Redstone randomizer without adding new blocks or chaining lots of hoppers and droppers. Right now we don't have great systems to make a >2 option randomizer. (I guess this would also require hoppers and droppers to interact with lecterns and books)
This should be implemented into both games for parity.
