Light sources cause stairs and slabs to be lighter

All stairs and slabs in Minecraft Bedrock Edition seem to have a lighting issue when there is another light source. The specific issue is that the stairs and slabs become too bright and it causes it too look unnatural with another block of the same material. This happens on Vibrant visuals but it may happen on other graphics, like fancy or the default. A setting to change the stairs to the same brightness to another block next to it would be great or a permanent fix/patch.
