Redstone Cable

Made with redstone dust and wool, the cables would behave similarly to lead on fence post. It would allow the connection of circuits outside the grid, going vertically or diagonally. It would also be isolated, meaning two circuit would be able to cross without exchanging charge. The wool could be color coded, for organization. I can see redstone Cable connecting on fence, hook, redstone torch. The charge strength would behave similarly to redstone dust, but reach further. I can also imagine redstone cables used with redstone lamps to create city lamps over the streets, since they would be connected to the fence posts, charging the lamps.
