Currently, Minecraft Education Edition uses a school subscription model. For players at home, it is incredibly difficult to set up an eligible account and manage a recurring subscription just to access the game's learning features.
Furthermore, since Microsoft officially discontinued the "Code Connection" companion app, standard retail Bedrock players no longer have any native way to use the block-coding, Python tools, or the coding Agent at home.
My Suggestion:
Similar to the current PC bundle where buying Bedrock unlocks Java Edition, purchasing Bedrock Edition should grant a free license to a "Personal" version of Education Edition.

- How it would work: This version would have all classroom-management and teacher features completely locked down, focusing entirely on the coding tools and chemistry mechanics.
- Duration: The personal license would remain active for free for as long as the user owns Bedrock Edition.
This keeps the educational tools safely behind a retail paywall so Microsoft doesn't lose sales, while finally giving home players a clean, legal way to learn programming and chemistry without jumping through school account loopholes.
