They chase and intimidate chickens, rabbits, and baby villagers, but run away from iron golems. In raids, they will trample crops, repeatedly ring bells, and distract iron golems.

They occasionally spawn in small numbers at pillager outposts and can be seen sitting outside of woodland mansions, tasked with guarding the entrance but sleeping on duty. The miscreant can also spawn in the middle of nowhere, but at about 50-500 blocks from a pillager outpost, because it wandered and got lost. They can also be scolded by raid captains at outposts, causing them to let out an annoyed grunt and walk away while shaking their head.

If the player enters combats with other illagers near it, the Miscreant will shout and run in circles, alerting every illager mob nearby to come and kill you. If this mob encounters a wandering trader, it will run up to them and try to steal from them, but then the Llamas will start spitting on him. This will cause him to flee. If he doesn't get hit or there are no Llamas present, he will steal one item from the Wandering Trader that he was going to sell, and that item will be out of stock for three days.

It takes the appearance of an illager with a unibrow and a torn and ruined green robe draped over a normal pillager uniform. Its arms are usually folded but will raise both of its fists when chasing a helpless small mob.
