With the addition of the Decorated Pot a few years ago, I've recently found it useful for counters and systems of the like in redstone contraptions.
With the Decorated pot if you add items up to a full stack of that item, it gradually increases a redstone output when used with a comparator.
For example:
1 non-stackable item in a pot currently gives 15 power
1 stack of 64 dirt gives also 15 power (0.234~ redstone level per item)
and 1 stack of 16 snowballs gives 15 power. (0.937~ items per redstone level)
If the max redstone level were upgraded to 16, counters for games and contraptions could become very easy for non-redstone-experts to use.
It would also conform to the style of the game, with it being representative of the 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 number chain.
The big difference I can see is that when using a Decorated pot, and snowballs or some other 16 stack item, adding 1 item will increase the output by 1, rather than that weird 0.937 number which currently results in a skip when you go from 7 to 8 items.
I can't imagine it breaking too many contraptions but if it does it should be an easy fix.
